Mr Eng was employed by Goodman Fielder Limited from February 2011 until the date of his dismissal on 21 April 2010, for serious misconduct. The matter did not settle at conciliation and Mr Eng elected to pursue the matter to an arbitration hearing. Mr Eng was represented by AWNA at this hearing.
On 18 January 2011 Commissioner Gooley handed down a decision ordering that Mr Eng be reinstated to his position, as well as compensation for economic loss between the date of his dismissal and reinstatement.
