Ms Glavenko was an employee of Adtrans Australia Pty Ltd from 1 August 2008 until 13 March 2009. Adtrans filed a jurisdictional objection against the application, claiming that the application was ‘frivolous, vexatious, or lacking substance’.
The objection was then heard at a hearing, at which Ms Glavenko was represented by AWNA. On 27 July 2009 Commissioner Lewin handed down a decision, dismissing Adtrans’ jurisdictional objection.
