Trebalas v The Trustee for C & S Nastas Family Trust

Mr Trebelas was employed by Beta Group from 17 November 2008 until his dismissal on 6 February 2011 for performance issues.

The matter did not settle at conciliation, and Mr Trebalas elected to pursue the claim to an arbitration hearing. AWNA represented Mr Trebalas at this hearing on 8 June 2011.

On 12 July 2011 Commissioner Gooleey handed down a decision stating that Mr Trebalas’ dismissal was harsh, unjust or unfair, and ordered that Beta Group pay Mr Trebalas an amount of $3,420 as compensation for loss of income.
